Where did you fly today?

So for some reason Billy could not get through TSA in Bentonville, so I had to do a quick flight with them to Tulsa to get them on a flight home. We still haven't gotten to the bottom of why they let him fly home. No problem in Tulsa.

Anybody else had a similar experience?

TSA at KNA is the worst on the planet. We have had our reservation cancelled. Made for the next day. Just fly out of Tulsa. It’s a breeze. If you arrive XNA after midnite expect to pay $600.00 at Hertz for a two day car rental. 1 day not available. No Lyft. No Uber. No taxies after midnite. XNA is zero for customer relationship.

Took one of my old friend for a ride who has ALS. Can hardly move, took 3 of us to get him up the float and into the seat. Can't talk anymore but he didn't need any words to communication.

This is what 82 YO planes do best, was pretty special for me too

I used to give a WWII vet rides in my Cub. Malcome was a crusty ole guy.. got a destroyer shot out from under him off Palermo
Couldnt get him on a boat but he loved flying!

Truck was bought new by family friends in 48 and used on their western Minnesota farm until parked in a field. Another friend spotted it in 76 and restored it as his maintenance vehicle. I got it in 82. Single barrel Flathead 6 so about as simple as it gets.

Pretty much the same even though the 11 weighs 50 lbs more. Doesn’t seem to bother it. Took the fabric off the gear on the 18 and now wide open the 11 will out run it. Before the 18 was faster.

Joined the hordes of weekend warriors putzing around in the Knik to test out the latest camera mount. It might be cliche but it's still fun. I hit the mid-channel practice strip hard on the way home to make sure I could still land in 200 feet or so. 4 other airplanes parked there, I think they were having a bonfire along the river.
