Well I noticed we didn't have one of these threads like I have see on other sites. So feel free to share where you have been flying today. Good opportunity to try the new photo attachment gizmo also.

I was out flying around Spokane area today.

A little formation flying down to Pueblo for lunch with my wife and fellow wagon owner. Interesting lunch conversations between them. Both thinking I was crazy for wanting to get rid of the skywagon for a super cub. In one ear and out the other for me.

After we got back to Meadowlake, I offered my wife a ride in another friend's Clipped Wing J-3 Cub. Hahaha, it was her first ride in a cub and now she is hooked. I put her up in the front seat since I prefer flying it from the back. She really thought it was cool sitting up front with all (ok, limited) the gauges. I let her do all the flying, well except the take-off and landing. We went into Bijou Basin and spotted the elk heard. Needless to say a awesome day of flying. Now she thinks we need to get the Super Cub after all. SCORE!!!!

made the chili lunch in Vinita Ok yesterday. My wife decided that she might want to learn a little about flying so it made for the 3rd training flight. I learned that I can get sick in a plane from abusive control inputs. flight two was so much smoother after she relaxed. we really just stayed in the area and she worked the controls for about 5 takeoffs and approaches. it was funny to see her look at me for her first reaction everytime the wind blew and say " ididn't tell it to do that" or "I'm not doing this" as we taxi like a drunk. I insisted we do one more takeoff and it finally clicked that she could steer it down the runway, power was her friend, and that if we pushed on the right pedal there is a really good chance we better get ready on the left for the ole one two dance. she was so happy that she found the beginings of her happy feat and the approaches are much easier when you keep the runway on your side of the plane. Best day flying in awhile from my seatP1010079.webp

I took this while in the pattern at our downtown airport, Albert Whitted in St. Petersburg, Florida. We had the boat show this weekend.

What can I say, my wife is hooked on cub flying. We took the Clipped Wing Cub up to Kelly Airpark today with her on the controls (Note: CFI in back seat)

Home from hunting in Fullerton, ND. Not yet fully adjusted to winter operations. Had the airplane plugged in but never checked to make sure the cord and connection were good so no joy on the cold start. Switched it out for a good one and 90 minutes later was on the way. Since I got a late start, I flew to Fargo then IFR (I Follow the Road -- in this case I-94) home. First night flight in a Cub in years. I enjoyed it but found it more work than actual IFR in a properly equipped airplane.

Switching to skis this week...

Today - 5.8 hours, and 2.5 of that was MVFR. But what wasn't poor, was nice.

1. Someone near Akron-Canton airport wanted to send a message to someone name Perez arriving on rwy 05.

2. One of the Amish schools I wave my wings at when they are outside made me this nice "snow art" piece.

Camped out on a high ridge with the Rans S-7S after doing a little mountain biking with the e Montague folder. The trick was finding the right ridge that wasn't shale like many in the area but had some dirt so the tie downs would hold, as I was exposed to whatever. Later, on the bike ride, I found a better spot, where I could have used the old barnstormer trick of tying down to fence posts.
