How To Remove Front Seat (Sliding Portion) from PA-18

Any PA-18 front seat-removal experts out there ? I need to remove the front seat (sliding portion only, not the base.)
The slider/adjuster lock was twisted down, not engaged in any adjustment hole. I removed a stop pin w/ a cowl clip (on aft left underside) that keeps the seat from sliding too far forward, but there's clearly another stop someplace else. My L-21 manual says there is one more bolt to remove: but its not clear where it is.
So my questions are:
1. What do I have to remove besides the stop/cowl clip at the aft, left side? (assuming the adjustment lever is already free position)
2. Does the seat slide off forward or aft ?
3. Will I need to take either stick down to slide it either forward or aft ? (or will it just lift off the tracks ?)

Any hints/tips welcome, thanks & happy flying - Whitecub

that's it???? dang I've been so frustrated by that job
that I am ready to remove a patch of fabric from the
left side to get at the (must be) hidden bolts!!!

As usual thank you SP and AK!!!!

This procedures works best with a beer in one hand for a bit, then setting the beer down briefly before removal. :drinking:
