MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the LBA STC No. SA 1479 for the installation of the 2-blade electric variable pitch propeller MTV-17-C/188-53 on the Piper PA-18 series powered by the Lycoming O-320 engine.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation.

Interesting!
Is this propeller eligible on a 180 hp Lycoming 0-360? For use on an experimental Cub clone? The STC lists a maximum diameter of 74". Is it available in up to 80" diameters? Are the slip rings bolted on to the existing starter ring or is it necessary to replace the starter ring with another? What is the cost of this propeller and it's availability in the US?
 
That document is for the medium size prop.
The larger MTV-20 can be up to 84". From what I hear these have a very slow pitch change.
