[h=2]Electric variable pitch propeller for Piper PA-18 series[/h] Atting, July 2018. MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the LBA STC No. SA 1479 for the installation of the 2-blade electric variable pitch propeller MTV-17-C/188-53 on the Piper PA-18 series powered by the Lycoming O-320 engine.
MT-Propeller brings an eectric variable pitch propeller for the Piper PA-18 series to market
MT-Propeller President Gerd Mühlbauer says, that the installation feature the following advantages:
- Enhanced climb performance up to approx. 10 % (SL, ISA conditions)
- Take-Off distance over 50 ft obstacle reduced by up to 7 %
- Enhanced cruise performance by up to 5 kts (SL, ISA conditions)
- Some Models comply with the strict German Noise Regulations “Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung” for unrestricted operations in Germany and other European Countries
The MT-Propeller natural composite blades have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation.
