Just a reminder for the new age of 'new' viruses....
Virus Strategies...

A. prevention
1. Behavior
a. don't go out unless necessary.
b. don't rub or touch your eyes.
c. wash hands.
2. Maximize your resistance.
a. Get LOTS of sleep.
b. Keep extra warm while sleeping....put on just enough
blankets that you don't throw them off in your sleep.
c. Take at least 3000 mg vit C every twelve hours. Take
supplemental zinc (75mg/day) Take vit A 50,000 units/day.
B. Corrective
1. Onset strategies...(when the virus tips it's hand with a sudden
onset)
a. DON'T eat. Fasting boosts the immune system short term.
"If you feed a cold, you'll have to starve a fever"
b. DON'T take aspirin or NSAID's....you want a fever if the virus
is kind enough to give you one...
c. IMMEDIATELY take 35,000 mg vit C. This is what your body
would do if it had the functioning gene that manufactures vit
C. IMPORTANT!
Men, apes, and Guinea pigs have a damaged gene. (Other
creatures make 6,000 mg/day when they AREN'T sick...
(in human dosage terms)
d. Take 150mg of zinc. Take 50,000 units of vit A.
e. Go to bed. Implement the "sweat lodge" treatment.
The next day, if successful, (meaning, if you caught it in the
narrow time window of a few hours where this treatment
is effective...) continue taking vit C (1000mg) every two
hours.
Keep very warm. Symptoms will resume with less intensity the
next evening,
Take another big dose of half amounts of what you took the
first day.
2. Stealth onset....curative strategies for when you missed the
onset timing window . More and more viruses are coming on
slowly, behaving as a minor cold before they really slam you....
Flu viruses usually arrive with all the subtlety of a freight train..
A. "Sweat Lodge" treatment....viruses don't like your body
temp to go up.
1. DON'T take aspirin or NSAIDs unless your temp exceeds
104 degrees.
2. If you don't already have a sweat lodge, drink a cup
of hot liquid and then wrap up in blankets, leaving
a small air hole to breathe through.
Sweat like a pig for as long as you can stand
it....usually about an hour. Repeat this as many times as
necessary.
Monitor your temp as you do this.
3. When you aren't actually sweat lodging...
Keep very warm (mildly sweaty) and drink fluids.
Take C and zinc and A every few hours...
If an opportunistic bacteria takes hold in the lungs after
a week or so, colloidal silver inhaled with an atomizer
seems to knock it out. The claims of some that colloidal
silver attacks viruses depend upon the silver particle size.
Most home-grown ionic colloidal silver brews have nano-
particles in them too large to be effective against viruses.
Particles need to be about 5-10 nanometers in diameter
to be useful for viruses, and up to 200nm for bacteria.
(and, I haven't had any luck with even 0.6 nm silver
affecting a virus)(dynamite on bacteria, though)

Not a doctor, not a mechanic, ignore everything I say.
All normal and Cosmic disclaimers apply..... :-?

I haven't had a virus since I threw the PC on the dump and bought a Mac. Jim
