After a lousy October, this has been a great November for flying. In the Upper Midwest, we have had three great weekends in a row for flying. Two weeks ago, I helped a neighbor who is writing a book on the wild rivers of northern Wisconsin do some aerial photography. I took off before dawn.

Watched the sunrise over the St. Croix river, the Minnesota, Wisconsin border at this latitude.

I picked up Russ in Minong and we traced several of the local rivers.

After a cold wet October, it seems odd to be flying around with the doors and windows open in Mid-November.

Makes me homesick. Is it next summer yet? I'd like to buy a copy of the book when it's out.

Yup...logged lots of hours over the past two days. Something peaceful about running the rivers through light patchy fog at sunrise.

Raked leaves in a T-shirt yesterday afternoon. Had a foot of snow last year at this time. Hope we don't see snow until Christmas.

Nice pics, I grew up in Hurley Wi. I sure miss the grouse hunting. One thing i did learn in Hurley was :drinking: .
