ORA Spirit Flies

You motor heads might enjoy this. I even worked on this a few winter weekends back in the late 90s along side some of the old guard at the Aerodrome. Ken Cassens is an amazing craftsman and worked tirelessly on this project for twenty years through a lot of politics and deserves 99% of the credit. He's also one of the best pilots I've ever seen fly old airplanes. This Spirit is the most exact replica ever made.

In 1977 a bunch of us commorated the 50th anniversary of the flight by flying over Roosevelt Field (now a shopping center!) in formation with a replica Spirit. Not sure where that one is now. EAA maybe? We had a ceremony at Republic and departed from there. I think Anne M. Was there.
