0-170-7 Continental Engine

I'm not following.... This engine is NOT an A-65 or A-75 etc.... it is an O-170-7. It is the military variant of the A-75. this engine is not on the TCDS of either the airplane or the engine....But they appear to be the same basic engine.

If you are looking at legality, try studying 14 CFR 21.9 (I think). If it is the same engine, on the same type certificate, I wouldn't worry about it.

See note 4 on Type Certificate E-205.

Awesome - I was looking at a different TC for the engine (I assumed it was an equivalent to the A-75)

This one is listed in E-205 as a the military variant and requires that I mark the dataplate I.A.W. Note 4 if installed on a civil aircraft.

Easy peasy.... thanks Bob!
