PA-18 150 hp dynafocal mount

I currently have customer with a Wag-Aero 000-525 PA-18 dynafocal mount installed installed 25 years/800 hrs ago. It seems that the 000-525 mount is a Wag-Aero catalog code 8 and is for experimental aircraft only. The FAA won't allow a field approval due to no engineering available on that mount. Has anyone used a Penn-Yan PMA'd dynafocal mount on a 150 hp PA-18? or ?????
