Can anyone remember prior to which year 337's are considered approved data?
thought it was around 1957.
Just a thought but we should start collecting all the old 337's that were issued before then so we can use that for approved data on mods. I realize there won't be some of the newer mods done back then, but from looking thru the logs of quite a few super cubs, there were quite a few ingenious things tried back then.
You can order the Data from the FAA on a CD on any airplane you want.
WE could order the CD's on any SC manufactured before that date and see if they had any good 337's.
If we did that on say a thousand airplanes, it would cost $5000. split that up between 500 people and it would only be $10 apiece. Steve could keep it on file at SC.org. I have the data on a couple already and I'm sure others do to.
