WTB: Continental C90 Crankshaft for C90-8F

It's official, my crankshaft is not serviceable. I am looking for a replacement crankshaft for my C90-8F. My mobile number is 313-912-6161, or PM me. Thanks.

Search Barnstormers for Ted Davis - Davis Aircraft Restorations in Brodhead, WI 53520. He advertises small Cont parts. No phone listed, just through that website's mail link.

The recent crankshaft thread on Facebook-Small Continental Engines informs. I had no idea that there was a backlog and demand far exceeding supply. When I redid my C-85 Stroker in 2015 there was availability. My A&P then ordered one a year later and was put on a list by ASS. He has since passed and never did get to restore his J-3.

Yeah, it's a mess out there with regard to Continental parts. Might have a line on one in IN, and waiting to hear back from Ted Davis. Hope to have one in a week or two. They are all going to $10k for a reconditioned .10.

Found a crankshaft. For historic research, I paid $10,000 plus shipping with the "least likely to be a scam". Best price offered from another trusted source was $9.500 but came to my inbox after I ordered the one for $10,000. In all my searches over a couple days, I found three available from those I would consider honest sellers - $10,500, $10,000, $9,500. I'm sure there are a few more out there, but talk about a parts dry up and inflation issue.

The small Continentals are getting ridiculous to find parts for. I've been waiting on an overhaul for a year now. Can't find necessary parts being the reason.

Sorry to hear. I'm fortunate to have been able to get a little work on mine last year. I briefly considered buying a donor plane just for the engine. Glad I didn't need to go that far. Midwest Aircraft did a good job from what I can tell. Purring along after about 30-35 hours.
