wing root sight gauges

Does anyone know what size fittings are in the tanks for the sight gauges, are they 3/8 or 1/4 pipe threads. I can make the 3/8 and bush them down but I would rather do what is called for, also do they have finger strainers on the sight gauge fittings I don't see much use for them on the sight tubes but you never know. Thanks

1/8 pipe screws into the Piper 10804-00 fuel gauges. 1/4 in hose connects to tanks. No screens needed. Bill

I thought that all tap & die sets came with a 1/8" pipe tap.

If I were you, I would look at your tap to see what size it is. A 1/8" pipe tap is about 1/4" in diameter.

Start over. Everyone here does it ALL the time. Gas even leaks out the door handles.
