Wing check list before fabric

Good day all
Just about to start installing wing fabric and frankly I don't trust my old self

to remember everything.

Not particularily complicated. PA18-95, no flaps, landing/taxi lights, nav lights, magnatometer and temp sender, additional wires for grounds and future nav light location gizmos.

I installed tinnerman nutplates for the root fairings. The wings were completely dismantled so all hardware, cables, skins etc are new.

Anyone have a checklist of not-to-be-forgotten items?

Is it really necessary to tape the top of the rib cap strips before covering and stiching? I noticed it’s not on your check list. Pulled them apart with and without and I’m not really sure the cloth tape does anything to prevent fraying the stitches on original Piper or Dakota ribs. Plus it’s a pain to remove after 30 years.

The only ribs we tape are the stamped ones.

Also Steve thanks for the checklist. I’ve used it twice now. I go thru and check things off in order as I do them. Helps prevent senior moments.

That is why we made it, harder to go back after we have got the fabric on. Live and learn.
