Hello all,
From my pictures you can see I am replacing the lower longerons on my -12. I have carefully cut and ground out the "saddle area" and the new longeron nestles in there very well. My question from those with experience doing this is, ... do I weld er up as is or do the old oxy weld beads need to be taken down more? After removing the lift strut/gear fitting I did very carefully remove as much old weld bead as possible so the new fitting will fit nice, but this was very difficult as it hard to tell when you reach the original tube/structure. It will be going back together with TIG. I appreciate any tips or tricks!!
Thanks,

Scott
