TJ Hinkle

Very sorry to hear it. You dad was one of our very first members.

We are thinking about you and your family.

Sorry to hear this. I will never forget him stopping by my hangar one day. He came in an introduced himself and I nearly fell out. We had a great time talking airplanes and mechanic-ing.

I too always enjoyed his posts. Tailwinds, TJ.

I too, enjoyed his posts. He shared his knowledge and wisdom freely, and gave that to others. That’s the sign of a good man. I’ll see you on the other side TJ.

Bill.

He spoke highly of you, Steve, often. He didn't do that for many airplane mechanics.

Guys like TJ and SP always got my attention, because there weren't many old schoolers back then that had the time or patience to get on a computer and lend advice or help. Let alone help that wasn't earning them a dime.

Man !! Sorry to hear this Jason, I really admired your dad and his way of putting things in layman’s terms.
I’ll be out of town till after the 7th. Peace be with you and the family brother!

I was just thinking about some of the "old guys" that were on here when I found this site, and wondering what their status was...

Sorry to hear about TJ's passing. I remember some of his posts well that were pointed and clear. I figured if I ever got the chance to have a sit down with him I would like him very much.

Condolences to your family, and hope some day I can meet you and hear some tales of the two of you.

My condolences for you and the family. I also recall TJ's posts and another fellow member that I had hoped to meet someday.

Off topic, but I seem to notice at times that some of the 'older/earlier' posters on this site have either moved on or are no longer with us. Life sure seems to be passing by at a faster pace than when I first logged onto this site many years ago.

Really sorry to hear that.
Always enjoyed his insights. Sorry he quit posting.
He came down and went antelope hunting many years ago.

TJ was a true legend. I never got to meet him in person but I spoke with him multiple times over the phone. Especially when Old Bear Dog Got stomped on by a moose and dislocated his hip. He could not get a Veterinarian to get it to stay into joint. I spoke with him, and he found an old time Vet that was able to get it done. I had an airline ticket lined up to go to Alaska and fix it. I regret that I was never able to meet him. Rick Papp.
