As some of you might know I've been slowly building a PA14, well this weekend I made the tough call to wrap up and store the air frame for a little while. I spend almost all my time in the garage during the winter, summer is to short here to be inside, but last winter I spent a lot of time working on snowmobile related stuff. mostly doing stuff for race teams competing in Cains Quest ( longest snowmobile race in the world), my job's went well but the race never an early spring stopped the race part way through. So because of that its being held again this year instead of skipping a year like it usually does. But I was thinking I'd be off the hook anyways because most teams are re racing with what they had, no such luck! there's a few new local teams trying this year and my repeat customers looking for things made or modified so another busy winter with that. Plus my own Junk is in need of some maintenance so I better get at that before I get bit in the ass lol.
so in need of my garage back, today I filled a spray gun with acf 50 sprayed the fuselage down and then applied that light weight covering no one wants to have to use while building a plane because it means zero progress for a little while. but having space to work means more other stuff gets done faster which means getting back at the PA14 sooner... at least thats what I'm telling myself.
