Sutton vs Atlee exhaust

I'm going to buy a new exhaust system. I'm thinking I would rather have the Sutton exhaust over the Atlee. Anyone have any input on which one may be better. I operate at cold temperatures, so I need it to produce heat equal to or better than the stock exhaust system. Leading edge is not a consideration.

AKwing,

Do a search in the forums (search link above) there are TONS of discussions about Sutton and Atlee Exhaust on the site.

Hi SJ. . .I am at the point of trying to decide which exhaust system to purchase. Which did you go with and are you satisfied? Most appreciated. WWW

From my experience the Atlee Performance system produces more heat than I can use and does not require the relocation of any other stuff or any new holes in the metal. Lots of good comments in those threads have a good read.

I too am looking for a new exhaust for the WB SC I am building, has anyone ACTUALLY done any dyno work on a "apples to apples" basis to discover which of the exhaust systems (if any) actually increase your total HP output?

Yes. Lycon has done some dyno comparisons of several exhaust systems, I had heard.

Seems that Lycon is in bed with Leading Edge. Anyone out there have any first hand knowledge about the LE systems?

It gave me more static RPM with the same Borer prop and no other changes to the a/c. on a 150 hp narrow deck.

Yep, agree with Dave. I put one on a 160 HP Cub. I had to readjust idle RPM. It gained 80-100 RPM after installation.

Ron, I did the Vetterman crossover (mufflerless) and picked up 200 RPM over the stock muffler system. Half price too!

Thanks for asking. For a 15 year old Lab, he is doing pretty good. He had a problem with an infected ear this fall but Dr. Papp gave me some tips to fix it. He is deafer than a stump since last year so I didn't take him hunting with me this year. I was afraid a bear would sneak up on him. He stayed home with "the one who must be obeyed". He was not a happy camper!
