You can try New Holstein as a staging area. it’s very close for an early morning dash to OSH. i may try that this year. New Holstein is a destination in its own right for tail draggers. i suspect a few people with slower than 90 kt aircraft will do this.

Over the years, most of the “ publicised” unofficial - official low and slow to Oshkosh groups were just some of the online celebrities that had a following. Most of these seemed to have ceased to my knowledge, although one group last year didn’t consider everything and ended with a flip flop recovery from a sandbar. Not the way to start your adventure to Osh.
Be careful who you follow

I have not been part of one of those groups in particular, but ask Glenn, even my friends don’t follow me

So maybe some of us members are confused by your question.

Are you asking about groups that fly together to Oshkosh, or are you asking about the long standing SuperCub gathering at New Holstein just prior to Oshkosh?
