Howdy Folks!

There has been a LOT going on here at the supercub.org headquaters even though you don't see very much of it - yet. Here is a little update on where things are headed:

1. First, my #1 excuse is that the flying weather has been perfect and I have a full load of students. In fact, it has been better than perfect. We only enjoy a few weeks of really good weather every year (i.e. 75 degrees, sunny, and little wind) and I am working hard to get one primary student soled in a C-170, a couple Commercial ratings, and of course, teaching Dana how to fly in a Citabria also.

2. We have had a lot of new folks visiting the site, registering and even doing some posting. The questions are good, and you regulars have been treating the new folks with a gentle hand and I sincerely appreciate that.

3. If you have made a donation and you don't see your name on the "donors" page, don't despair. Your wiener says it all (the one by your name on the forum, that is). I am working on revamping that page, but I suspect it will be a month or so until it is complete. This is all happening in conjunction with a members area for donors. I appreciate your patience, I am just one guy trying to herd a lot of electrons...

4. I continually get a stream of compliments about this website and every time I do, I remind people that if it were not for all the fine folks who visit, post, and read on a regular basis, it would be nothing but another quiet black hole in cyberspace. You are the ones that make supercub.org what it is, and I appreciate your involvement.

5. We are starting to think and talk about next year's fly in's already. Jr. Hammack is working up a sware' in New Mexico that sounds like a lot of fun, you will be seeing more and more details on that soon.

6. A lot of you have been using the "chat" thing to have some live conversations. It has been fun to watch and be a part of. I hope to improve the interface a little bit at some point to make it better. Maybe we will someday have a "live" online seminar or something...

7. If any of you supercubbers are going to the Iowa Aviation Conference in Des Moines next week we will be doing the program on Thursday at 7pm with our musical/comedy schtick with some useful information interspersed. Maybe I will see you there!?

Well, back to the salt mines for me. Hope you all have a safe and fun filled weekend!
