Sullivan 3rd. Seat STC Question.

I am installing the 180 lb./3rd seat STC on a Super Cub and have a question. I have seen a lot of Super Cubs with a narrow back seat which allows the poor soul in the third seat to stick his feet forward but I can't find any approvals or drawings for it. Sullivan's drawing shows the seat belt brackets and the "X" in the floor but doesn't mention anything about cutting the seat back down. F. Atlee Dodge has their Safari Seat for $545.


I am also installing Dakota Cubs adjustable rear seat modification and that STC allows for the installation of their Super 18 seat which is narrower. Mark is getting me a price on it.
How have others handled this?

I have a full width rear seat, easier for two kids to ride back there.
