I am still having problems with my ignore member list:
I still see their posts (when I am logged in)
I see nobody on my list
I click the ignore member button and a pop up says that they are already on my list

I have never used that feature. I will have to try to figure out why it’s not working.

SJ, how do I get rid of that annoying little window in the lower right corner of my screen that reads thusly?

Sorry. I’ll set it to dismissable. Might be tomorrow before I get to it.

I’m having problems posting pictures. The message says unrecognized format but I have previously posted them just fine from my iPad

Are you having trouble putting pictures in a post, or uploading them for the calendar?

sj

Jim, were the pictures taken on the iPad? I’ve not heard of this issue and it worked ok for me just now. Does it tell you the type of file that it doesn’t like?

Thanks

sj

Images taken on iPhone and then airdropped to iPad pictures folder. Image selected from photos to upload into post with the following message “Image file type invalid”.

So, it turns out this has to do with .HEIC format images that a number of phones use now. I'm looking to find a way to convert them on the fly when uploaded, but the quick fix is to convert them to .jpg or .png and they will work fine. I suspect somebody has a plug in for this already out there and will keep looking.

The old site format would load one photo when opening the site. To get another photo you could just hit the reload circular arrow.

New site loads a photo and then, at unknown intervals, loads another. I like to see the photos but it seems every time I try to touch a current subject or forum post the photo cycles and what was below my finger and the intended target of the touch has now moved due to photo size and I end up inadvertently selecting something else.

Ed, are you talking about on the supercub.org home page? Yes that did change a little with the new system.

Yes, the home page. With the photos constantly cycling, and being of different size, the subject lines shift with the photo size. Seems to be an evil plot as it regularly happens just as I’m selecting a subject and inevitably end up with something else.

Oh I get it now. Never thought about that. Have you tried the new posts feature inside the forums? I’ll increase the time on the picture reload and see if that helps.

Thanks

Hi Steve,
While seaching a topic and clicking on a link to previous posts in the website it shoots me back to the home page.
Clicking on a link to other than within 'supercubdotorg' works just fine. I use Firefox.
Is it me, Firefox or is there a glich here?
Thanks
Frank

Frank, just to confirm, are you using the search button inside the forums, or a google search?

sj

Thanks for the e-mail SJ.
I am using the seach button at the top right hand corner to find a thread I am looking for and then clicking on a link within a post that I am interested in.
Hope this helps
Frank

Frank if you can tell me which thread it is most likely the link inside the post goes off site to something that is no longer there.

Steve,

This is the one that flips to the home page

December 15 2003 'Fuel lines' second post down by Vidir - clicking on the link goes to the home page.

Frank

Many thanks for your time Steve - I will have a good search on Monday as we are committed to a day away tomorrow
Frank
