I like the new set up, but...
is there any way to add a "go to new posts" when clicking on a thread?
Used to be a button on each thread "since last visit", now theres one "jump to new".
But a couple times when I initially clicked on the thread (on the "new posts" page)
it jumped me to new automatically.
And sometimes the "jump top new" button jumps me, but not all the way to new.

How do we make our pictures big like cubusMaximus, my pics showed up little, then you have to click on them to make them big. His showed up big on the post, and perfect too btw!

You can resize your picture when you post it, he post his pictures elsewhere and just links to them here. I’m going to do so how to videos soon.

I am also trying to figure out an @cubdriver2 button so that when you open a thread there is a way to get to the last post quickly.

sj
I hope you figure out how to get last post first when opening thread.
If we want to go back and look at an earlier post it's a pain. I'm starting to get John Elway fingers

I've looked and looked, it is not a feature of this forum like it was with vBulletin. There are some third-party add ons that do it, but it happens for all users and most prefer it the other way. I've not given up on, but that's where we are at at the moment.

The little circle next to the time with the triangle in it brings up the last post first.

Where do you find that?
I not only don't see the triangle-in-circle, I don't even see the time.

When I visit this site, I go first to the forums page, then (now) hit the "new posts" button.
When I click on a thread, sometimes it takes me to the newest post, sometimes not.
When it doesn't, i hit the "jump to new" button"... which sometimes jumps me & sometimes not.

If you click the TIME/DATE on the new posts (or any posts) list it will take you to the newest post

See the little circle at the right end of each thread posting? That's it. Touch it and you go direct to the last post.

I'm finding that clicking the topic name takes me to the start of posts that I haven't yet read. I was confused at first. It seems that the new database didn't include what I had read from the old one so it was taking me to the first post of the topic. That was no fun, but I soon realized that for any topic I've been to with the new software, it does the right thing.

So under the "like" button, you have options for Thanks, Like, Love, Wow, Sad and Angry. I'm sure we could assign 6 dwarfs to fill those names, but noticably missing is any sort of laughing response. I think they called him Happy. :)

I laughed at a couple recent posts but I didn't want to reply, just to show I laughed. That's like posting a photo of your food, just to show what you ate, isn't it?

Is there a tutorial on how to post a picture in a reply to an individual? Is it posible to just copy a picture that's on my computer and then paste it into a thread or a reply?

I _JUST_ noticed the same limitation.

You can post pictures in replies, just click the little picture icon. I don’t have a video tutorial yet but I am planning on one.

I will add a laughing smiley when I get a chance.

I saved the "New Post" url in my bookmark bar and click it every time I visit the site. I get the threads I have yet to read.

sj,
Look at my post #26 here: https://www.supercub.org/forum/threads/drilling-into-spar.59864/#post-858456
I attempted to remove and replace a picture. I could not, it reduced in size to what you see as attachments.
I tried to cancel the post before posting. It would not cancel.
I closed the web site and restarted....the unposted post was still there.
I tried to redo the reply...it double replied.
I restarted the computer.......no change.
I tried to edit after posting...nothing doing.
What you see is the result.

Here is what I see. I’ll have to try it myself to see what is going on.

That's it. The attachment should not be there and "KeithO said:" should not be double. I could not edit them out.

Quick video on how to fix it: here

NOTE: you have to turn "edit bbcode" back off or it will stay on for your next posts...

Pete I had the exact same problem a couple days ago. And did everything you did. It was like stepping in dog poop. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get rid of it

You can post pictures in replies, just click the little picture icon. Thanks for the reply, SJ, but I'm without a clue as to what the remaining steps are -- a screen pops up that wants some more info that I don't understand -- all I know is that I can't take a photo that I have on my hard drive and get it to appear on a reply to another member's private message. Now what, give up?

I’ll try to keep this thought condensed, but at times the human mind, idiosyncrasies and human nature intrigue me.

Forums/places like Supercub attract us, more during seasons when we fly less, and less during the seasons we fly more. But there is also a convenience factor apparently. While for a forum interface on a handheld device this new software really does well. But I just realised this evening that I (we?) have grown so accustomed to apps and the ease of use, that I don’t “click on the web” and open Supercub up as frequently as I did when we had an app.

I expect that this holds true with any heavy user of handheld devices. In reality, the handheld device was designed for app use.

Yes, SJ, you should get one back. ✌️

Peter, what you have now is better than an app. What has changed your behavior is the lack of an icon on your handheld screen to click. It takes five seconds to create one from any browser you are using on your handheld device.

Here is how you do it from Safari on an iDevice. It’s very similar with other browsers and phone/tablet brands. Hope that helps!

I don't know SJ, that red circle looks more like "this is a bit cloudy" than "see this!" :p🤟
