Stewart System Fabric Workshop 02/15

Hello All,

The folks at Stewart System Fabric and Tamarack Air (me -- Vickie) are sponsoring a free Saturday afternoon 02/15 hands-on workshop in Vancouver, WA at the AeroMaintenance hangar on Pearson Field from 2-5pm. The plan is to let people get hands-on practice with gluing, taping, shrinking corners and covering practice frames using the non-hazmat Stewart System process.

I have been using the Stewart System for six years here in Fairbanks, Alaska, mostly on Cubs, and have found it to be easy to use and durable. The new paint formula sprays more like regular paint. I am impressed by how Dan, Doug, Jason and Marjie keep improving the products!

I am looking forward to meeting the NW Cub pilots and learning about your Cub operations, maintenance and concerns!

Thank you,

Vickie

Hi Vickie--thanks for posting. It would be great getting caught up with everyone. I was contemplating going down to PierceAero until I heard that Jason wasn't going to be there this year. And it's kinda short notice for me to get up to Vancouver. For those who don't know, Jason is a really good teacher: Patient, clear, straightforward explanations, handles questions well. And his students turn out nice work in short order (except for ME of course...). Jason, are any more sessions coming up?

Thanks. cubscout

re: Stewart System fabric workshop

AeroMaintenance is sponsoring a FAAST safety seminar from 10 to 12, then hosting a lunchtime round table discussion with local CFI's (Free Lunch!) all prior to the fabric workshop.

The fabric workshop is designed to be hands-on and let folks use the glue, iron out wrinkles and make lots of mistakes on the practice pieces. I appreciate the phone calls for information, this helps me know how many people will be on hand to get their hands sticky!

Thank you,

Vickie Domke

Kurt, Jason doesn't work for Stewarts anymore. Marjie said he is building rockets now. We will miss him in Graham this year.
