Been trying to get out since New Years Day. The weather is nuts here in Ontario. -21C and BLOWING the other day and +6C and ready to rain today, but I finally got the bird in the air. Was 2 winters ago that I last found the time to fly skis... today = flat light.. SOAKING wet snow and I think I did great today (nothing is bent!)

BTW... TURN YOUR SOUND DOWN.. rattle of the safety strap on the camera is irritating!

I guess next time I'll have to make it more exciting and put the skis thru the trees or sumptin !

Nice Job Great video , no ice this year down your way , No snow here in sask neither :)

Thanks Gerry... weather is nuts. We're usually driving vehicles out there by now. Path is the ice breaker coming in to get the grain boat out of Midland Harbour. They only had to bust 4" of ice.. the boat could have done that itself!

Here's a shot of the machine I was doing the flying in..... yah I know it's not a SCub.. but it snuggles with a J3!

Fun to see some skiflying video!
What kinda machine is it?, and what engine does it have?

It's a Murphy Rebel, JmS, with a 150 HP Lycoming in it. O-320-C2A to be exact... I derated a B2A by installing low compression pistons, at rebuild, to have a long term bullet proof engine that would run on any fuel I could get at a dock in the middle of nowhere. While most guys try to figure out how to get a 160 out of their A2B's... I went the opposite way and lowered the HP and have a case with longer thru bolts and cylinder hold down plates.

Oh, ok. Looks nice!, i read alitle about the Rebel, seems to be a robust aircraft with some decent cruise speed to.
