Short field competitions

I was reading Andy’s response and it sparked an interest in short field take-off and landing competitions. I would sure like to watch one, do any of you guy’s know where these competitions are held? Which ones are the best for spectators? Does any one know the distances these guys are achieving? And what types of aircraft they’re performing these distances in? Cheers, Dave

The short field T.O. and Landing discussions are taking place over in the modifications section under "Bolt-on Horsepower". Somebody really needs to organize a new competition for the old pros, maybe someone should call ESPN Extreme Sports, I can't think of anything more extreme.
