Rudder Cable Fairing
Hi Everyone:
I?m helping a friend refurbish his Super Cub, it?s been on the ground far to long. The AD?s have all been caught up and we are close to being in the air again, but I?ve misplaced a miner but obvious part, a rudder cable fairing!
Now I know most everyone uses a tier drop leather patch, on the fuselage where the rudder cable exits, but this Cub had a pair of cute pressed aluminum fairings, and I would like to put it back in service as it once was. The one I misplaced will probably show itself when I get a replacement. That?s where I need your help. I?m having great difficulty in locating this replacement rudder cable fairing. The part supply companies have been little help so far. Anybody know where this phantom rudder cable fairing can be found. Rick.

I thought this was going to be a no-brainer but three catalogs later and I can?t find it either.

Have you called Univair? 888-433-5433

Where in SoCal are you?

And...welcome aboard Rick.

Wicks sells plastic ones. Page 35 of their newest catalog. Part #CCF-1. $4.50 a pair. I don't know where to get any metal ones.

I used seaplane grommets like you put on the wing rib bays (water drains) to run the cable through for the rudder. Crash
