Riblett 66" on a Stretched Pacer help

Stretch 24" with what motor. Mine has an 0320, it is stretched 24 but the motor is pushed forward. I think the producer that Steve(airwrench) builds is only stretched 18 inches. I didnt build mine and I am not an airframe guy so only limited help. Pick steves brain all you can even if it costs you some money. Also the guys at D and E should help.

I have a little info on the stretch if interested............... Your 1 1/2" is pretty accurate. If you envision the fuselage in horizontal position and just extend the lower longeron the 24" this will give you almost your 1 1/2" dimension. There is very little AOA difference in the 3 point than the short. Think about a Maule engine mount if going with the O-320. It also gives you the zero thrust line. You will have to adjust if going with a 360 and especially if a constant speed prop. Everything is a trade off........... The more forward CG the more stable and smoother ride...... the more aft the better performance short field capabilities but things happen quicker. Might think about the Sullivan type tail too. I have 2 builds going, both with 360's ... one is angle valve with constant speed. One has Maule type doors on one side, the other has them on both sides. Both have extensive wing mods but one is still a short wing........... sort of. Where you located?

I would agree that Airwrench is the expert.

My project took 36" stretch to get 2" above the HRL at the tailspring mount.

if the stretch is lengthening the lower longeron along the same plane or angle, it intersects and crosses the HRL at about 24" stretch - unless I am measuring wrong - or my airframe is bent...

In order to get the tail in the relative position to the wing (similar to the cub), I had to go further (30-36").

But, this means that I have to compensate with a longer engine mount OR heavier engine for weight and balance.

Please post pics as you measure it out - and let me know if I screwed up some where.

Well I didnt mean to post all those

and my shop is still recovering from my hanger caving in so bad mess

if you look at the pic where the pink line (HRL) goes end to end and you zoom in on the tail you can see that the hrl crosses the lower longeron just after my old man grab handle

I need to build a brand new baby, and I need riblett66 "wings, to get a very good performance. But riblett66 "wing of the control and the body is connected with the pa18 completely different, I do not know how to connect the body? Which have riblett66 "wings of the drawings? I also need to connect with the fuselage with the control method, the pulley position? Who can help me to solve this problem, thank you!
