Pa18-95

Hello All, I am looking at a PA18-95 and trying to get a feel for where the market is at on them. This one still has the C-90, mid-time engine, average fabric/overall condition, electric system, dual wing tanks, and 26" Goodyears. I know it really comes down to what the buyer wants to pay and the seller will let it go for, but I would really appreciate any feedback on what people are seeing for asking and/or selling prices.

Ours was rebuilt in the 90's . Has a 400 hour Ly con engine with no radios always hangared. We've had offers in the mid 50k range.

I just bought a 1953 PA18-105 tango for $32,000. Fabric has about 5 years left...engine 1350hr..has a few years left ... no flaps and toe brakes. I put about $6,000 in it for struts and engine goodies and misc. Its not a show plane but I love it and fly the pants off it every weekend. That is what I paid. Could be hi could be low but I am happy. Next upgrade is 29" tires when I can save a bit more money.

Thanks to everyone for sharing these figures. It is very helpful to know what is going on in the market.

thanks again,

One of my buddies tracks these things carefully. I wish he would fly more and track less, but he found an 18-95 for $65K - stock, except for tundra tires, rebuilt engine, and original fabric!

In my opinion, these are fine trainers, but from the average $50k, subtract half for the necessary Dacron cover.

If I were going to get a Super Cub for student work, it would be the 18-95, although a Tango with heel brakes would be just as good, and usually cheaper.
