PA12 Wing Rigging

I don't know which way to level the airplane to check the washout in the wings of my 12. TC says to use a plumb bob from a the screw in the upper rear part of the door channel to the mark in the plate on the left side and behind the front support of the rear seat. The alternate method says to use an 18" level with a wedge of specific height on the rear of the level on one side or the other of the front seat between the main landing gear attach points. Both ways level out different from each other. I guess my question is shouldn't the bottom of the wing at the inboard attach points be level if the whole aircraft was level?

for just doing washout.... yes it really doesn't mater its just 2 1/2 deg of washout...

but for other measurements like stab travel level flight does matter....

firewall is usually close too...... there are pictures bellow in my picasa " russel #1" album of other areas with it in level flight by using plumb bob....
