Pa-18 or Husky?

I had a friend with a new A1A. We flew it a lot and then installed VGs. I usually brought it in with power with the stall horn going off and never had the wing drop. It felt more solid to me after we installed them.

How was the old-wing Vg'ed Husky loaded when you tested?

It has been some time, but my standard messing around load is me (170 pounds), 20-30 pounds of survival gear in back, and 20-30 gallons of fuel. That was a 1,350 pound plane, so about 1700 pounds.
