Hey Greg, Mark, Tim...We've got a guy going to AK next week from here in his PA-12-135. He's got those horrible old fuel sight gauges that come out of the bottom of the wing. One of the floats doesn't work (saturated, who knows? It sits at the bottom and doesn't move).
Now, I can get the guage itself from Univair but the float part is not listed anywhere (I think it's Piper part 10-868-000 or 686 or something close to that). Do you know where I could find one of these dinasours and if successful in locating a float, how do you replace it if the float is bigger than the hole in the bottom of the tank?...Brad
