PA-12 battery question

Hello Everyone,
The Gill G-25 battery in my Kenmore O-320 PA-12 was getting tired so I tested it and it needs replacing. Here's the question. Gills' website says their STC approved battery for the PA-12 is the G-35, not the G-25. The PA-12 T.C. simply says 12V battery. I'm not opposed to a G-35 but that will require a new battery box ($). I definitely need to keep it in the rear for C.G. If I do end up with the G-35, any idea where I can get a battery box?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
David

i was trying to think of the last time I replaced a battery with one of those big lead acid ones... I bet it was 1993 or so... this was a few years before the Hawker/Odessy came on the scene

If you want a battery to approximate the flooded battery's weight for aft location look at the Odyssey PC925. Great battery with significantly more oomph and reserve power than the popular SBS-J battery. No box is necessary but Odyssey offers an optional mounting tray for securing it or you can opt for the PC925 MJ that has an integral metal jacket for impact protection and heat resistance and fab your own hold down. Like all Odyssey batteries you can mount in any position but upside down. Visit 43.13 for installation guidance.

I replaced the Gill battery in the rear luggage area with a Concorde RG35AXC, Fits in the box, LOTS of power.

Well I got to the bottom of this question. I'll be using the Gill-25 simply because I have a new one on the shelf.
I talked with a very nice and knowledgeable fellow at Gill named Tom who verified the G-25 is fine to use. He is also very familiar with Odyssey/Hawker and speaks very highly of them. Next time I need a battery I'll definitely take a look at your suggestion.
Thanks.
