Odyssey Battery Terminal Change

Things that make you go huh. Odyssey added a side terminal adaptor to the PC625 battery. Not a good change with my battery box. Removing the post nuts proved the only thing holding the added cooper piece was a rivet, so I decided to drill them out. These are the softest rivets ever and it appears they’re plastic. Easy removal of the post adaptor and easy clean up of the rivet with a utility knife. Plastic rivets? Very odd.

Which one of your fleet is it going in stewartb ? Just thinking ahead for my own battery replacement.

My 180. It’s been 10+ years and after last winter’s storage the battery was a wee bit sluggish so I knew it was time. I needed a hangar battery anyway and the old one is plenty good for that. My Cub uses an EarthX.
