Nosewheel not Aligned with Rudder - C206

Stumped.

Cessna 206. Rudder peddles are centered. Nosewheel turning right. If I drive the plane straight ahead the rudder is deflected to the right.

Steering bungee?

Sounds like the bungee/trim chain needs to be rerigged. The service manual has a good procedure written out.

I would recommend following the rudder rig procedure from start to finish also. It's not hard but trying to adjust out a single item has proved to cause at least one other problem in my experience.
I've also found a few that required a different trim actuator when switching from gear to floats & back and sometimes the actuator was left as is during the swap. I understand why one be inclined but it helps to know which actuator you are trying to rig.
Not sure if that applies to all or just particular float brands, never really tried to research it out.

The Cessna 206 float kit included a trim actuator specifically for the floats. Granted it was only the EDO floats which were approved on the TC. However I do not recall anything which said the trim actuator was specific to the EDO floats.

Thanks for the replies. It was fine last time it flew, and now something is amiss. I'm going to look at the rudder peddle to nosewheel interaction. Its such a fun job.

Now I have to figure out how to get the bolt out on the trailing link. Fun fun.

Fun, you have a sick sense of humor. Its real fun to change to floats.

Check your roll pins in the upper arm for the steering shaft on the front of the nose gear strut ( arm that the nose bungee attaches to). I've seen those shear part way and cause misalignment of pedals to nose wheel.

Not quite the same but we found a steering issue after scratching our heads for a while. Strut showed a couple inches but turned out to be no pressure. Filled the strut and problem went away.

Was reading a story yesterday from Savvy Aviation where one of his customers had the same issue on a C182. Turned out to be the rudder trim cartridge.

Update:

Well....I found the issue. My helper lubed the rudder trim cable and left it all of the way to the right. I didn't catch it since I never made it to the runway. As usual, always look for the stupid stuff before taking things apart!

Thanks for all of the replies!
