You can’t keep up with Cassie. Jake is smart to not even try.
If she’s not biking hiking skiing climbing running swimming fishing hunting, she might ride along with jake in the J3.
Otherwise it’s too slow for her energy level.

We have finally started to get snow! Anybody getting ready to ski fly yet? I’m planning on making a set of Dollie’s for the Champ and hope for a little more snow. We have about an inch tonight.
How are the mountains doing?
I moved my Maule to KFSO in Vermont this summer and was hoping to get it on straight skis this winter but they closed the grass runway permanently during the repaving so its likely wheel penetration skis required from here on out unfortunately. So my Maule will continue to stay on wheels.
Did they ruin the grass landing area with excessive drainage like they did at Middlebury? If not use it as before. We have a couple areas we still use without any complaints thanks to a great airport manager.
At KFSO I’d wait some more and maybe someone will let the Notam lapse.

There is talk of making a new one on the opposite side of the runway, but that's a ways out at best. Did you guys get your fuel fixed down at Middlebury? I looked at basing the Maule there but couldn't find even the remotest possibility of a hangar.

We regret to announce the cancellation of the 2023/2024 ski flying season. ...not one flake of snow.
