Newly purchased PA-11

Just wanted to say hello to everyone on the forum...I'm a new 1/2 owner of a great little PA-11. We owned a C-170 for the last few years, but recently made the change and am loving it. There seems to be a lot of great info here, mixed in w/a bit of BS also - Of course! - We are talking about PLANES...Right. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. I live in the Wasilla, AK area...So - Hello!

Also if anyone knows of a nice set of EDO 1400's or other 1500's available in or near Alaska, please let me know...

The float marketing place in Anchorage had a set of EDO 1400s a year ago,, with T-craft rigging I think...

I think they wanted 10K. I use 1400s on my PA-11. They work better for me than the 1320s.

The 1400's seem to be the way to go on the PA-11, from everything I've heard. I believe I spoke w/the outfit you're talking about in Anchorage w/no luck - but the have my number. There is a set of 1320's available in town, but I'm going to keep looking for the 1400's - I have all winter!

SonnyAK, check your PM's. I left you a message about a decent set of 1400's with -11 rigging that I've been sitting on.

Hard to find any sheet-metal flaws on these babies. They're taken apart to do fresh paint. One is stripped. The other still has OLD!! paint peeling off it. The struts are still painted. I have brand new bumpers, too.

Anyone else? In a couple weeks I'll be away for a bit and not sure how easy they'll be to get at after the snow flies, as several airplanes are parked in front of them for the winter.
