New to me Super Cub

I called Dakota Cub a little over a week ago and gave Melonie a list of parts I needed for my new Cub project. I stopped by there yesterday to pick up the parts. I can’t tell you how accommodating the folks at Dakota Cub were. All of my parts were ready. All of the small stuff was blister packed. What a joy it is to work with people who know what great customer service is.

I guess I’ll be the odd one out: I’m not a fan of the iPad’s “brilliance”, meaning visibility in sunlight. I’d stick to a Garmin GPS, either 660 or 760, depending on how big a display you want. Then, I’d put a round airspeed indicator on one side, with Altimeter below, on the right, a uAvionix AV-30C with a EI CGR 30P below.
Trig comm and xponder below the gps.

MTV
You mean something similar to this Mike….

IMG_0338.webpI do miss the steam gauge altimeter and a “real” turn and bank. The tapes can be changed to round gauges and the G5 is great with maps, weather and traffic but do kinda miss the old school 6 pack in some ways. I use the airspeed indicator more than anything else! Oh yeah. Would like an autopilot - looking at you Garmin.
