Need help with install of summit 2300

Palmer Alaska
I have installed my summit skis with aero classic 8:50x6. If I pump the tires up to 25 lbs I get the 1.5 inches of clearance but when I raise the plane off the ground the tire hit the skis in the front of the tire. On the ground there is clearance about 1/2 inch. Is this ok? I don’t think the on landing the wheels will ever hit the ski while on the ground but in the air they interfere. Thoughts on this? Is anyone else running the aero classics with their summit skis?

Are the bolt on brackets the same or left and right? Might be switched?
Or maybe your rear cables are too long?

The brackets left and right are identical. The rear cables are set for the proper angle for the skis according to the drawings.

The skis are brand new. First install. I am trying to talk to someone at cub crafters about this. Does anyone know who to talk to? Or how to get ahold of Mike Custard?

What tires (size) are listed in the instructions? Not all brand of tires are the same size, a small amount of extra tread can be trouble.

adding once size up is also bad, like 8:50 instead of 8:00

The 4 ply aero classic 8.50 X 6 is over a inch taller than Goodyears. On glh 3000 skiis new cables were needed to get optimal ski angles.

Thank you Glenn. I measured the tires. Are classic’s are 22” diameter. The air hawk 8.50 are 21” dia. So may have to change to air hawk tires. They are heavier but maybe necessary

Good luck getting them to call back. I called four times, left message with live person each time and still waiting for call back. That was a year and a half ago. Glen got me up and running. Pete and Vera are the two people at CC that have been helpful on other matters. Try them.

Aero classic at 25psi. Pre cubcrafters summit ski. Don’t know if summit did that in the last pic or the tire. But pic was with weight off

There’s a bushing on either side of the ski, and a washer to fill any gap. One side is tight. One side takes a thin washer.
Not to center the bracket on the landing gear. I meant between the top of the ski and the ski mounted bracket. Moves the ski down farther

My issue was the front of the tire interfering with the ski bit the side. I ended up using 8.50x6 air hawk tires. And that resolved my issue. Could not get the aero classics to work at any pressure. So my conclusion is cub crafters changed something in the construction of the ski or the mounting bracket.
