Jim (Big Deal) Dickerson made a terrific discovery recently...National Ice Cream Day coincides with the New Holstein Taildragger Flyin!
For those who have camped with us the last few years you are well aware that desert for us, just about every evening, involves a flight to Kelley's Country Creamery (https://kelleycountrycreamery.com/). The Kelley's kindly mow their alfalfa pasture, creating a Country Landing Strip which is conveniently located adjacent to their beautiful Creamery. We have loads and loads of people drive to the Creamery to watch us fly in, land gracefully and taxi over to park. After we all arrive the proverbial gates open and these wonderful people (literally hundreds) bring their children over to see our taildraggers until we have to shoo them away to fly back to 8D1.
This year our resident graphic artist and all-around great gal, Sarah Dickerson, knocked it out of the park with her tee shirt design...here is a proof of the design that will adorn our tee shirts.
These can be purchased in advance through our website, www.fonha.org, with shirts to be picked up onsite at 8D1 when you check in. We are working through how to ship these for those who can't be at our event.
Yet another reason to register for our event...which is just around the corner, friends! Go to www.fonha.org and register now!
See you at 8D1!
