Marvel Carb Differences....

daedgerton

PATRON
Arlington, VA
My carb continues to have issues and leaks... I think it's probably due for an overhaul. The P/N: currently installed on the airplane is 10-3678-32. I actually have a 10-3678-12 in my possession from a spare overhauled O-320 on the shelf.

Are these by any chance interchangeable? Would love to just swap them vs. waiting for an overhaul / rebuild on the carb.

-12 came on most PA18-150 but most 160 hp STCs call out the -32 because they think they need the extra fuel.

Not necessarily. I believe the link describes the reason for the -32. Piper was having issues with Apaches at high altitude in winter running lean.
