Lift strut replacement

It is time to replace the rear lift strut. If I am pulling it off to punch, might as well just shuck it off completly and get a new one.

Problem is, which? Airframes seems to have one that is stronger, and heavier. (lots of them +2 lbs makes lots of weight). Otherwise, Univair???

Both Airframes and Univair make a heavy duty rear strut. Only Univair make s a standard duty rear strut. The questions to ask yourself are these...

Will it ever see any snow loads?
Will it ever see any strong winds from behind?
Will it ever haul a moose rack or table saw etc. on the lift struts?
