Kissing Cousin Prop question

Hi All

Haven't posted in a long time but have been reading alot.

Question today, I have a Kissing Cousin to the PA12, a 7AC Champ with and o-235.

I have moved to Texas and face a diffent challenge with the warm weather. My grass strip is shorter as well.

So I'm looking for the best climb prop and need your thoughts.

I currently have a McCauley 1C90LM 7240. I'm close and can reach 2550 at full throttle in level flight. I can run 2600 continuous and 2800 on take off.

The issue has been to fine a prop that has not been re-pitched before and is original at 46 as the prop shop will not go more than 9 inches.

I can also run a Sensenich M76AM-2 but some one said there is a AD on those and are no longer made, I have not call Sensenich yet to know the skinny on this

So I hoping for some prop wizards on this forum to give me some good bad or otherwise advise to a Kissing Cousin.

It doesn't list a climb prop for your plane. It does list 72CKS8-0-52 as a standard prop.

This is McCauley's list: http://www.mccauley.textron.com/MAG.pdf It lists a 1C90/ALM7243 or 1C90/CLM7243 for a climb prop.

Have a prop shop decrease your pitch 1" or 2". They should be able to tell you how much would be best.

Umm, George, Catto doesn't make a certified propeller, last I heard. And, the 7AC is a certified aircraft.
