Headwinds suck...

Insufficient margines suck. Reminds me of twenty years ago when I had my bosses mistress screaming at me that I'd get the sack if I didn't take a C172 to Norfolk Island. 470nm from Lord Howe Island where I was based at the time. Probably eight or nine hundred miles from any real chunk of land. (Any more than one is more than I can swim).
I'd worked out that I'd get there with 15 litres of fuel!
Thankfully I laughed and walked away and said no.

Anybody catch the line in the Avweb report about how American King Air Services was going to work with NTSB to determine the cause of the crash. That ought to be a tough one. Somebody must have wanted a 310 in Hawaii awfully bad!
