Holy kamoly! That is right up on Rt. 2! Lots of damage up and down the Kennebec and Andro Valleys. Penobscot, too. We got hit hard.
 
Spoke with Douten today. He lost the outhouse and shed on the river side. Water came up the hill to almost the house before starting to recede .
That’s gotta be close to 20’ rise.

So sorry to see this. Phil has certainly has had to weather some terrible events in the short few years we've become friends.
 
Dang, I remember seeing pictures of Phil's shop and the river. That is a lot of water. Wish I was closer, that is a long slow process to clean up.
 
I think it is time to consider reviving the Bushwhacker Fly In next summer to bring some economic infusion to the region. Rumford and environs were very hard hit in this storm. It will be many months of recovery for the region.
