The 2025 edition of the Johnson Creek flyin wrapped up this past weekend. The flying weather was perfect, the fly out breakfasts were great as usual and busy. This is the first time that I remember that there wasn’t frost at least one morning, so early departures weren’t a problem. If you are planning Johnson Creek this summer, the store in Yellow Pine is closed as well as the Tavern. That leaves the Corner Pub as the only option for food. If you need ice, McCall will be your option. The Corner Pub just changed hands this week, time will tell how this works out. Jim Lane and his wife are the caretakers again this year, great help if you need it.
