Hello,
My uncle and I are restoring a 1941 J5-A. We are currently working on the wings and replacing the front spars on both. The rear spars and most of the other parts are in good shape overall and just require some cleanup and paint. The wings were not assembled when we picked up the airplane from the previous owner, but all the parts appear to be present, minus some of the hardware. We have a copy of a copy of a copy of the original blueprints, but there are several specifications that we can't read, for example the thickness of the inboard doublers on the spars. Does anyone have better copies of the wing assembly drawings or something similar? We are building new spars from scratch and want to get it right the first time as Sitka is expensive and hard to find.
Thanks,
Dave
