OK , my J3C-65 which more than a few folks here have flown, was rebuilt around the data plate and a few other parts into a PA-11 configuration back in 89-90.
So my CG points are all PA-11, the cargo bay, the engine angle, windshield angle and so on.
Both the J3C and PA-11 are on the same type certificate. Both have a 1220 lbs gross weight on wheels....
BUT... The J3C on floats has a gross of 1300 pounds and the PA-11 has a gross of 1350 lbs on floats.
So I have been using a legal float gross of 1300 all these years.
Do any of you Cub guru's think that a filed approval for a 1350 pound gross on floats would work since the plane is totally set up as a PA-11 anyway?
