Interior Vinyl Covering

I’ve got vinyl covering glued to my lower interior panels in my 1954 PA18. Obviously not original. I’m planning on removing it all, priming and painting. Anyone encountered this before? What’s a good solvent to remove the adhesive?

Yes. Lacquer thinner - well ventilated, and gloves?

My Decathlon was sort of like that - wiped right off.
