info clevis pin aileron

On our Piper L4 from 1944, the aileron attachments are with 7 mm diameter Clevis,
in the catalog I only find 6 mm diameter clevis (1/4).
Do you have any information on this setup?
because it's impossible to find the right Clevis

The metric system of measurement was not used when that airplane was manufactured.

It sounds like someone reamed your hinge blocks and installed a larger clevis pin. The aluminum hinge blocks wear and sometimes need to be replaced. Here is a repair kit for this issue.

There should not be ANY metric hardware in the aircraft. If there is the aircraft was modified.

Only metric stuff is the threads on your spark plugs. Nothing else comes to mind. I would replace/repair the blocks and use the correct 1/4 inch pins.

My battery uses a 10mm……or an 8” crescent wrench which brings it back to standard8)
