Thanks Dana,

I weathered it ok, It was a long long weekend though, First securing everything and getting ready...Then the waiting. No Power, Wind, Rain, and then cleanup. I lost 2 large trees in my yard but they didnt hit the house luckily and just had a large cleanup job in my yard. I feel sorry you the alaskan guys when the have 24 hours of darkenss, thats what its like with no electricity and the hurricane shutters up sitting around the house in the dark. I was just on the south side of it about 100 miles or so from the center and got only the tropical storm force winds. The effects were felt out to about 200 miles on the south side of it.

I also hope all the other cub guys north of me made out ok...Well that goes for everyone else affected by Frances. I know alot of people were hit really hard including some Friends that live north me of here.

Now trying to get back to normal and possibly getting ready for Ivan's arrival soon...

David.

It looks like Ivan should go class 5 tomorrow and that is long before Cuba and who knows what direction it will go from there. Some steering currents and computer models show it heading to FL and others show it coming right over me and LA right in between us. Ether way, Ivan will be a huge storm and even bigger than Frances and there is lots of overheated water to go over before mother nature decides where to send it. Just in case, think I will stock up on cold ones and maybe even some water.

The projected path has dropped down a little but here is what it looks like.

All the water under the storm is above 85 degrees so will work like boiling water. If you plot a heading of 285 degrees as it is headed now, guess where it is headed.
It must get interesting to the hurricane hunters to fly through storms like this. I will stick with Super Cubs.
